Looked for one of those 5.5 Bisley 45s for a long time finally gave up. Glad to see you using yours as intended by manufacturer,
Enjoy Elk Season, a well placed hit with the load you're shooting will put an elk down with authority.
I kill them quite efficently with a 7X57 Mauser. Bullet...
I have an LC9 that has hundreds of rounds through it without a single problem.
Try Galloway custom for the triggers.
If you've learned to shoot a DA revolver DA, then the LC9 is an easy transition.
Ferg: This is a factory weapon, limited edition model. It's called the Wiley Clapp model and it is named after the gun writer Wiley Clapp. It has his recommended modifications. I believe they are a TALO exclusive.
That's ok Weshoot. I will do a google search. Just thought you might have it within reach. I remember the article and it seems like it was in a Guns&Ammo but I'm over 65 so don't bet on it.
Ny 02 cents worth would be the dot. I don't like scopes on handguns as they create balance issues and I find them unweildy if not shooting from a rest.
If it's as dark in your dark timber as it is in ours the dot "glows" and that would be a great assist for quick accurate shots.
Couldn't stand the factory grips as I never could grip the gun the same way twice, hence, poor shooting. Obtained these oversize from 41 Magnum and this 44 is my favorite field gun now.
With A.E. Nelson leather from Scio, Oregon.
