Would you for $400?

Guy about an hour from me as a government model Mark II for $400. It has Volqurtson grips which I would take off. and sell. I like the factory grips better. Comes with 1 mag, no box, just the pistol. I have a SS Gov.model already and several other MKII's, so I don't NEED it.

No. I'm seeing MKII Target guns for around $300 and less lately.

That was a good move. It's absolutely worth it. I've never been a fan of those grips but that is easily corrected.

In general,, $400 for a MKII like that is a good buy. The grips,, some like them, others don't.
It's not always about need,,, it's about the desire & the value you place upon it.

BTW; Where I live,, an hour's drive is almost normal for me to go just about anywhere.

An hour is where everything is over here.

For $400 I need the box and papers. The grips will net a few bucks, probably enough for at least half the gas for the trip.

I burn enough gas just going anywhere,, that unless the trip is over 2 hours away,, I don't even consider it as an expense. Some of my jobs are 2 hours drive one way. And my driving time to a lot of places increased after Helene. We will have "normal" roads out for at least 2 more years.

A MKII Government model is well worth $400,, even w/o the box & factory grips in most places. The grips on it can be sold & factory ones added for about the same money.

I thought most of the later ones was with the 225 prefix, but I have a stainless 5.5” with the serial number starting with 225 and it is not drilled and tapped.

I should have bought that. I forgot to go back and check the auction. I have one NIB but for that price I would have had two. If I remember correctly their were less than 100 D&T.
