There are a lot fewer of them than Colt single actions and even fewer of the later 1890's. Some thought the Remington's were better. There are possible more Italian copies than originals. They are also faked using Italian clones I believe.

I've never owned one, but a friend of mine has one of the Egyptian contract 1875s in his military gun collection and also a Mexican version so I've handled those. I don't have clue as to value/condition variables - definitely a piece of history there, and I like that holster!!
