.41 Blackhawk missing rollmarks

I have an old model .41 mag Blackhawk missing any rollmarks on left side of frame, no model, caliber or eagle. I don't think it was modified, rather just overlooked. I was wondering if anyone has any insight or information on how often this type of thing happens.

Occasionally guns do leave the factory with roll mark "goofs" and can be minor to major. Can you share some pics?
