Not related to your problem but I was getting jams and misfires with my sr9c but after a good cleaning the problem stopped so it cannot hurt.

I have a sr9c and I am wondering if I polished the ramp for the shell to enter the chamber would this make things more efficient and has anyone done this? If i did this with a dremel tool with a polishing cloth could I cause any damage and would it be worth the effort?

When you return it to ruger how is it boxed to protect it and do you buy insurance on it if it gets stolen or destroyed.

Yaa, I did it only used my fingers for first part and a small nail into the black insert and it came out and putting it back on was just as easy.Thanks everyone.

My sr9c did not like sellier & Bellot at all I had jams shells not ejecting so when I switched to PMC or Winchester NATO the problems went away.

Thanks everyone I guess I will have to "bite the bullet" and learn how to do it.

I got my sr9c last week and took it to the range some shells would not eject (sellier&Bellot) and had jams.I went out today and used PMC and Winchester NATO with no problems but when I can I will use Winchester NATO for pratice.

My pistol is new and I cleaned the barrel but I am not comfortable taking the striker apart could I spray some cleaner into the area a let it sit and then run some air thru it to remove some of the grease.

Just bought one today and being a novice how do you clean the stricker?

Hello everyone I just purchased a sr9c and was given lellier & Bellot shells when I purchased it are these shells any good or what else should I buy? Any thing else that I could learn About the sr9c that would prevent problems And I am a complete novice so thanks in advance.
