I'm thinking of getting a 9rd magazine for my LC9s. Almost all of the ones I see online for sale are item number 90404 like the one here on the left, but I also have found a few numbered 90457 like the one on the right (which BTW I don't see at ShopRuger.com). They're both listed as fitting the...
I've had a 380CC and a UC9 for about five years now. With the UC9 the only issue I've had has been when it's fired alot and gets dirty the slide will sometimes not lock back after the last round. But I don't consider this a major problem and it otherwise has been flawless in all respects. On the...
Polished up the internals and installed reduced power springs (10# main and 8# return). Mine came from the factory with the CTC grips but lately I've been thinking about getting some grips that fit my hand better and then maybe installing a Meprolight or HiViz sight.
Back in '07 I got the Wolff Shooters Pack and installed the 10# hammer spring and the 8# return spring and I haven't had any issues with ignition. Last time I checked the pull weight was 9lb, 3oz DA and 3lb, 7oz SA.
In my 2.25" SP101 I carry the Speer Short Barrel 38spl +P 135gr GDHP. I think the Corbon 38spl +P 125gr HPs are a good load also, but you really can't go wrong with any factory made quality self-defense ammo, IMHO.
As the satisfied owner of a 2-1/4" SP101 I would recommend going with the 3". I agree with the others that the better ballistics and sight radius you'd get more than compensate for any (maybe) concealment issues.
If I had it to do over again I would get the 3" instead of the 2-1/4".
LNIB Mini 14 30rd Ruger factory magazine. This mag has been used once then left loaded (minus one round) in my safe. It performed flawlessly, I just find the 30rd a bit unwieldy and prefer the 20rd mags.
