    Single-Six 32 mag

Great advice from Hondo44. My little SA Ruger .32 H&R 4.625" is one of my most accurate revolvers [including Python and K, L and N S&W]. Hope the OP enjoys his .32 when completed! Regards, Dyson

    Single-Six 32 mag

Might ask Ruger about refinishing the grip frame if it takes the trip to them. No idea of cost these days. Regards, Dyson

    colt new frontier 22

Mine is the short barrel with only .22 LR, bought new in box in August 1987, though I suspect it had been around a while. Very accurate, but so nice I don't shoot it now. [Gun has the, to me, wartlike 'safety'.] Hope yours is accurate, also. Regards, Dyson

What is your favorite Blackhawk for woods carry?

OM unconverted .41 Mag 4.625". A gentleman on another forum sold me a dandy OWB western style holster for it. Likes maybe 7.4 gr 231 under 215 SWC. Nice package. A bit of wear/character on the blue, gussied up with fake ivories and she is good to go. In reserve, unconverted OM .45 C/.45ACP...

UPDATE: .327 Fed. Mag. conversion from 22 Mag OM Single Six

Well done, indeed, Hondo44. The .32 H&R in 4.625" is a supremely neat package. Your ingenuity has made it even more attractive. [Mine are just factory spec.] With thanks for sharing this project, Dyson

    3 Screw Ruger Super Blackhawk.

Good work; nice catch. They are beauties. I have only one of those 'fresh' 3-screw SBHs, and it is so pretty I haven't shot it yet. Hope yours serves you well, especially with all the fine [and important] instructions regarding loading only 5 rounds. Regards, Dyson

    Ruger Super Single Six 1969???

Nice find - and a great price. Can't help with your questions, as my 5.5" sibling to yours [57077x] was more money [$295] w/mag cyl in bag, but no box/dox. May yours serve you well. Regards, Dyson

    OM followed me home today

You did well in rescuing that handsome old SS from a life of neglect or worse. Way to go! Not to mention the acquisition of the unrelieved diamond targets. Will this yet be a trifecta? We await with interest. Regards, Dyson

Ruger Redhawk in 41 Rem Mag?

These are splendid revolvers. My 5.5" SS .41 Redhawk is a just-over 1"-@-25 yds gun with its favorite - 210 XTP and some H110. If you get one, you will not regret it! Regards, Dyson

Getting an OM Blackhawk .357, just need to decide on barrel

This is a dilemma, indeed. My 4 5/8" is a NM in SS, while the 6.5" is OM. Surprisingly, the NM is far more accurate - around 1.3" @ 25 yds with loads it likes, vs pushing 2" for the 6.5". Wonder if it would be possible to shoot them before buying? Realize most dealers don't like to allow...

Aperature or "peep" sights for hunting revolvers

I tried a home made version and liked it, because have trouble sometimes with notch rear and the elevation of the front sight. That is, consistent placement just to the top of the rear sight notch. The 'peep' seemed to allow for more repeatable alignment. Looks? Another matter entirely...

Om 41 mag converted to 44 mag?

Not an expert compared to many here, but seem to recall the OM .41 [have one] was smaller frame than the old .44 Mag [have OM flattop]. And that Ruger quickly found the reg OM frame was not happy with .44 Mag. Anyway, as was suggested, there are plenty of buyers for .41s, so why not save money...

OM Single six shooter - clean up?

What a great post. This is what everyone hopes for - a diamond in the rough. Never mind just fixing it up - have it engraved with steerhead ivory grips! Congratulations to you! Regards, Dyson

OM Single six shooter - clean up?

By all means, do what makes you happy. If that is inspecting for any safety issues, cleaning and lubricating, great. If that is inspecting, cleaning up with light oil and some 9999 steel wool or 300/600 wet or dry paper and touching up the blueing with some Oxpho or equivalent, go for it. I...
