Zane Grey Marlin 30-30

Heres one i got tonight. Its a Marlin 30-30 Zane Grey edition. 22" tapered octagon barrel with brass forend tip, trigger, and butt plate. I have wanted one of these for several years and it kimda fell into my lap last week. Not sure it's ever been fired. Zane Grey was a dime store western novel author. He wrote a lot of short stories and also some novels i think. Dad got to meet him when he was a kid.

Overall pis is probably crappy. Was taking over my head.

Zane Grey was also a dentist, an adventurer, and a world class big-game fisherman. He loved guns, even cheap ones, and had a number of Mossbergs among other more aristocratic arms. One of Southern California's real characters.

Oh and i was talkin to Dad last night. I was wrong. His grand dad hunted gators with Zane down in Florida. Thought dad had met him as a lad but was in error there.
