Tamales(hogshead is a must) and plenty of Mexican rice for the Mexican side.

Some states have now abolished the last meal after some ridiculous requests that were not eaten. Others have limited it to $20 of fast food or something that can be prepared in the prison kitchen.
Breakfast followed by fried chicken or steak are or were the most popular meals. I forgot which state used to allow the guest of honor to have a couple of shots of whiskey to make the final journey a little smoother.

I went to get gas and stopped at the Black Rife coffee shop, the first I’ve seen. I got a Combat Kolache which consisted of a spicy cheese Polish sausage and a pretzel bun. It was okay. Needed mustard.
