Went to the home improvement store for some items an spotted 250’ rolls of 14/2 romex is now $135!
Luckily I have 2+ rolls from way back.
I know lumber is through the roof but didn’t know copper wire was THAT high.
No idea what copper pipe is.

We have two summer Homes to build on Beemee lake We are starting next week!
Out of state people from Conn. Eric priced the job sky high hoping they'd back off.
They didn't one of the foundations is being poured Monday! We'll be framing Wed or Thur.
Building cost didn't seem to phase them in the least! Contract signed, deposit paid!
Building Materials are extremely expensive hope they come down but I doubt it.
It's the NEW Normal YIKES!! ps

Yeah, no kidding. I need to upgrade the electric service to a barn that's approx 400' from the REC meter pole. My intent was to bury a new line until I calculated the price. Should have bought the wire last summer.

Yep, I have two big rolls of 12/2 and 12/3 I bought years back so it's not color coded like the new stuff. Should be fine for re wiring or running new circuits as long as I don't move anywhere residential wiring is inspected. That 14/2 is fine for circuits as it always was. It just has to be 15 amp circuits and technically replacement not new circuits under the new codes as far as I understand.
