Just bought this set of XR3 Gunfighter grips.....They are new.
I know they are not Ruger Factory, but buy it now was $20, so I grabbed them. Figured the medallions were worth that...
Am I missing something here ???

Sorry but you are missing a properly exposed picture! I can't see the grips very well much less the medallions.

Bob,,, those medallions are likely from the NM's that carry them now. While the picture is a bit dark, the wood appears to have nice grain. At $20,,, you did just fine!

Not my picture.. just copied off the sellers...
Will post better ones when I get them..
And they are XR3's...do took a gamble...

HD, you did OK< tough to get ANY grips for the older XR-3 these days, let alone with medallions, screw and escutcheons, hell those are $16.95........appear to be refinished, a bit heavy on the coating but you can subdue the finish, maybe wet sand, dull them up..........

Thanks Dan, kinda what I figured..
Plan on messing with them a bit to make them look older and maybe put on my recent purchase of this old .357 Flattop...
As I age, I get the urge to have aged stuff around me... :)

Update:
These grips came in the mail today..
Very pleased with my $20 purchase.
Only problem is they are way too good to be on this old beater, so will have trouble scuffing them up a bit to fit its patina... :)
Cheers,
HD

I also agree, they look great on that gun, not too plain, and not too gaudy, just right. Yea, $20, you did real good.
