Missed the question on annexation and location of death camps.

I selected Germany instead of Poland even though I knew about camps in Poland but did not know about any in Germany.

Fun test! I do not think that our results represent the score of the general public. I will have my 14 year old take the test and see how well she scores.

Gee any sixth grader could answer those. Well, a sixth grader who was born anytime from 1945 to about 1965. After that I doubt they even heard of WWII.

Some historians would say however that WWII actually started a few years earlier with the japanese invasion of Manchuria.

10/12. Missed the starting date of the war and the one on the location of the most extermination camps. My first reaction was Poland but I second-guessed myself. Should never do that; almost always a mistake.

And to be honest, although I'm 56 years old and they did still teach history when I went through school, I think I knew the answers to most of these because of my own reading about WWII, not from history classes in school.
