the great state of Texas
unfortunately while making this set my hand sipped and I took slightly too much material off the bottom front corner of the left panel. as you can see in the last two pics it's not off by much, just about the thickness of a business card. they actually were oversized on my 5 1/2" super Blackhawk.

the grips were fit to a XRN-3RED grip frame. they are thinner towards the butt than I normally make them (around .370) and have a really gorgeous grain to them.

normal price is $525. because of the small flaw i'll let these go for $375 shipped and insured.

cannot sell Ivory to you if you live in New York, New Jersey, California and Washington state.

They still look great. I'm in CA so I can only drool and keep all the ivory goodies my parents bought in Alaska during WWII in hiding.

I am not the biggest ivory fan, but those really are beautiful! By the way, I'm cut=rrently pondering an Abilene single action .44 mag, and if I talk myself into it, might need grips for it!

Dang,,, I wish I'd seen these! VERY nice!

mikewriter,,, may I suggest you look at American Holly for the Abilene? Looks a lot like ivory,,, feels great, and is less expensive!

Contender, good suggestion! I have a set of American Holly Zane made for me on my .44 Special Flattop, and love them (the gun, too!). Since the Abilene has the same barrel length as my Special (4 5/8"), should I get it, putting Holly on it, also, would make a nice pair!
