WTB-- Does anybody know where I can buy some of the brown wax paper that older Rugers were boxed with ?
Kraft paper? Plain brown?
Hobby Lobby would be my first stop. Kraft paper is moisture-resistant, MIL-spec manufactured. Next stop - Grainger's has it all.

I don't know exactly what it was . Older Ruger revolvers were shipped with a 10" x 10"(more or less) square piece of brown wax paper kinda wrapped around the gun . I would like to find some of them .I have a couple older revolvers in the original box with the paperwork , but no wax paper .
Thanks,
JB

If you can't find it locally, it's easy to find online. It's Kraft paper impregnated with corrosion inhibitors, I believe. RCBS used to wrap their die sets in similar paper as well.

it's basically 'gear' wrap paper, used for wrapping/shipping ( rings & pinions) gears....comes in different colors as well as different "poundage" ( thickness)
Used to get it from my friends at Lakewood Speed chassis many years ago..........and our friend Joe H sold out his gasket business to 'STP", so I don't do the race car stuff these days.8)

( too old to go that fast anymore..)
