I have a friend who lost many family guns in a house fire several years ago. Most of them were totally destroyed but his father's Single Six .22 made it through with only charred grips. I would like to get a set for him. I have not seen the gun yet but I am assuming they are wood. I only have one SS myself and it has rosewood grips so I suppose that is what I need. I'm in Indiana. Please respond here or to my email or you can PM me if you have any for sale. Thanks ahead of time.

By the way he lives in southern IN and I'm in the north so I don't see him often but I will next month so I would like to have them by then.

No the wood is smooth. There are a couple light spots that I thought were in the finish, but I put stripper on them to refinish them and nothing came off, spots finish or anything.

Thanks to all of you that have responded. I realize that I am not sure whether it is a new model or a three screw. I will have to find out and then decide what to do.
