Hi guys, newbie to the forum here. A little intro on myself. I live in Utah, I'm in my mid 40's and an avid hunter. Mostly, bowhunted for the last 18 years. I am finally going on an Alaska drop in trip next September and I'm looking to buy an Alaskan in 454. I currently own a .44 mag but don't feel it's adequate backup for where I'm going, given that I'll be using my bow as my primary weapon. I'm actually looking for 2 Alaskan's, both in 454.

If anyone has one or two they want to part with please PM me.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. FWIW more bears are killed with 44's than any other caliber. At least in my 33 years, that's what I've seen and what I carried. Get some Buffalo Bore 305's and you are good to go. JMHO. Plus good luck finding 454's with out paying a mint. Good luck in your quest.

gun is sold pending funds ::

here's a couple of pictures
thats a Galco holster , 50 rounds of Star line and 20 rounds of Hornady both once fired that can be had with the 454 , orginal box and papers
