wtb 6in. mk1 box

David, rugerguy needs to know which gun you have so he might be able to help.
The 6" Standard models have fixed sights. The MKI guns will have adjustable sights. As such, a Target model will have a 6-7/8" bbl.
The 1976 guns will come in the one piece, red, hinged lid type boxes.

thats right, and the boxes are exactly the same ( basically only two sizes made back then) but the end label will tell it all, as well as the outer shipping sleeve, the red/white boxes ,had the guns serial numbered white marked on the front ( long side)
the two rd/white boxes that were available were PRINTED in white on the end label either RST04 or New Model Blackhawk 6 1/2 in,,,,,the gun that was then put in the box that "fit" the closet, then had the paper sticker place over the 'pre printed' end,,,thus , like this one......

so again, is it a fixed sight gun or the actual adjustable model of the Mark I..............

I have the boxes ,but maybe NOT the proper sticker ( label)

The 6 inch standard is the one I was looking for I would prefer it did not have a pat. date past 1976 but would take one that was later. I was unaware of a 6 inch with adj. sights or a 6 inch target model but if any one has one I would take one of each of those. thanks david
I understand your attention to detail but what I need is a box for a auto mk1 6 inch 1975-1976.
How I get so misunderstood I have no idea , maybe I go to fast ? or just not smart enough to keep up?
