work ethic

I was "a boss" at a young age on a very hard dirty job. I quit that after two years, had to take a guard job to eat when my money ran out. That lowly night watchman job led to probably one of the best paying guard jobs there was. It made me a slug! For the seniority I gained over time I think others on my department probably wondered why I didn't want to climb.
I had a early bad taste of being a supervisor and got it out of my system fast!
Before all that I did work about three years for the National Park service and the Wisconsin state conservation department. I loved that type of work and should have got my head examined for leaving it.
Oh well. It`s all behind me now.

Early on I made the connection: mom and dad worked hard and could afford to take vacations, have nice cars, have a cottage up north, etc. When I got old enough and started wanting nice stuff, mom and dad made me earn it. Work around the house, paper route, etc. Wasnt hard to put 2 and 2 together.
