I thought about posting this under the ammo forum but figured here was ok also.

I figured I'd check for ammo sales locally. A lgs had cci standard 22lr "on sale" at 3.98 a box. I wish it were cheaper but I grabbed what was left . The regular price is $7 a box for 50 which I won't pay! So I was happy to see it that "cheap" because it's been a while. Silly but just wanted to share my woohoo moment lol.

All of these people that think our President isn't accomplishing anything . . . .

:D

Our local dealer has way over 100 bricks up for sale. I counted 60 from
Armscore, another 40 from CCI and a few from other manufacturers.
As you said, far from cheep, but THERE, and that's the first battle.

I could use a few "Woohoo's" like that! 8)

Midwayusa.com has American Eagle 22lr for 2.99 a box. Well they did earlier today when I looked. $10 off shipping if the order hits 100 bucks. I had 40 boxes in the cart to see the cost. It was 119 including shipping. That sure beats my 3.98 a box lol.

People (not you) that actually buy $100 worth of 22's or 40 boxes+ and then horde or try and sell them for a profit is the reason there has been shortages of 22's. The companies continue to produce ammo at a good rate but the distribution has been upset by hoarders and profiteers. It is a shame that shooters could not do with just slightly increasing their purchases of the available ammo over time so that everyone could have the ammo they wanted. We have had a run on guns and ammo, and now, not so much. Good buys will be coming up.

Yeah I was price matching lol. I was tempted to buy some but didnt. Well wait till the end of this year. California has passed a state law for ammo registration. It doesn't go in till July 2019 to the best of my knowledge but people think it's January 2018. There will be mass buying is my guess in California. We'll see but if people feel panicked they'll buy tons in a short period of time. Will it be enough to screw up the market? I don't know.

I'd say ammo sales in California are probably still very High because of the ridiculous law being passed. So...sorry if my state screws up the ammo prices again lol...I voted no but apparently not enough of us did.

The vote tally was 8.6 million yes to 5 million no. If California really has 10 million registered gun owners we should have been able to beat it. It's not just ammo registration that was in it. It was banning anything higher then 10 round mags. You can still get ar's but they have to be featureless.

They also want people to register their ar's as assault weapons if they aren't featureless. It was a nice big kick in the butt to California gun owners. California gun owners as a whole couldn't even gather 300k signatures to fight it. We only got 190k signatures.
