I've been on the MidwayUSA notify list for THREE YEARS waiting for a case of this. I am concerned that Winchester has discontinued it. Has anybody seen a fresh box of this stuff delivered ANYWHERE in USA lately? Winchester website shows it as a current production item, but that really doesn't mean much.

Winchester and Remington aren't the only manufacturers. And in fact both are on my don't buy list. I shoot Hornady 30 gr V-Max , 45grn Critical Defense, or CCI 40grn Maxi-Mag depending on what I'm shooting at, and with which gun. Always available locally.

I know the Win and Rem are less expensive, but my guns don't like them and I ain't gonna pinch a few pennies on ammo that doesn't perform like I want. :)

I like the Remington Golden .22 LR. My Rugers are very accurate with them. Cheaper Than Dirt has a .22 Mag, 40 gr that shoots good in my Single Six Hunter. Since .22's are a heeled bullet, not much to bite on rifling I dont think the 30 grs shoot very well. That's why I was trying to find Remington 40 gr .22 M

Only .22 M I have is 2 Single Six. Hunter is scoped and I didn't like the way the light bullets grouped. I waited too long to get a Mag rifle.

That's good shooting. .22 M rifle goes for a grand now. I know that Winchester is a good rifle

Value varies a lot, but $1000 is about avg for one in good condition.

Bought new in '74, mfg '73. Cheap Simmons scope on mine.

You could shoot the eye out of a rabbit with that !

It all depends on the right match between the ammo, the gun, the shooter, and the optics. Getting it all right takes time and a lot of experimenting. I'm sure you'll find the right combo.

If you can, I'd recommend getting a lightly used early Win 9422M, if you're into lever guns. They don't make 'em anymore and the value has no place to go but up. The longer you wait the more it will cost you. I paid about $200 for mine in '74.

I think Marlin made a .22 mag up until a few years ago.

Henry still makes a clone of the Win. Runs about $500. Never shot one, but they have a good rep. https://www.henryusa.com/rifles/lever-action-22-magnum-rifle/

The key to rimfire ammo right now is owning a firearm that isn't a "one trick pony" in regard to ammo preference. My RAR 17HMR is pretty much restricted to a single ammo choice and for a while, that was hard to find.

I haven't seen Dynapoints anywhere since before the "scare." Just recently started seeing Winchester 40 gr. JHP again. I have been stocking up on CCI and Hornady mostly.
