Will an old model bolt fit?

I have a new 22/45 Mark III barrel and lower. I also have an old model bolt but it appears to hang up on the loaded round indicator. Can it be made to fit?

The Ruger Mark III bolts have a slot on the left side of the bolt body designed to pass over the "Loaded Cartridge Indicator" tab. If you remove that metal tab, the older bolt will work just fine. Better yet, remove the whole LCI and you'll be better off.
