cabela's has Sig Sauer Oem 1911 8rd magazines for $24. When I compare them with my 8 Rd SR1911 5" mags, they look identical. Will they work with my pistol???? Don't have a lot of experience with 1911's, thanks.

I have used several different magazines in my 1911s. I have no experience with the Sig magazines but basically all single stack 1911s are the same pattern so they should work.

Sig mags, 8rd at least are the Ruger mags. I have been using the Sig mags for two years and they are dead reliable with every ammo type and I three different 1911s.

Some say they are expensive but just as good as wilson, better than chip and a lot cheaper.

I find them for $26.99 + sales tax, at Fleet Farm, here in the NNW's.........I will try them in my relatively new Colt SS souped-up Commanders, in which more than one half of the factory Colt SS 8 rounders will not work/lockup when 8 rounds are placed in the magazine and insterted(attempted, that is) into the pistol..........

I do not have those mags, but I would say yes. Every other mag I have stuffed in my SR1911s has worked fine. Colt, Kimber, Chip, ACT, Wilson, old military mags, others I can't remember.

Plus 1 on Dakota's post. Any and all have worked successfully. I'd opine that any 1911 that needs boutique mags to get 100% reliability, is in need of a gunsmith's services. Rod
