I doubt it. Have not tried it though. I recently ordered a Simply rugged for my 4 5/8" 480 ruger. He had a specific listing for the 454/480 Bisley. He only listed for a 6 1/2" barrel. I made note of the 4 5/8" barrel length on my order. Holster fits perfectly as all his stuff does. I suspect the 454 and 480 are thicker through the cylinder. Could probable fit it into a 44 holster. Would stretch things a bit and be very tight at first. Should work though. However if your goal is double duty out of one holster I think the 44 would be a be a rather sloppy fit after getting the 480 to fit.
The 6.5" .480 and .454 have a 'heavy' barrel compared to other Blackhawks. Not sure about either the 4-5/8" version, or how much actual difference it makes. Prolly need to ask your holster maker.
But, I CAN say with certainty that a SBH .480 6 1/2" DOES fit into the holster I bought for a 7 1/2" BH .45 LC. Doesn't fill it quite to the end, of course, but otherwise I find it perfectly acceptable.

Yay! Thanks guys. That removes one obstacle. New leather can add a bunch. I already have a Simply Rugged holster, and Chesty Puller attachment for the .44 mag. SBH. As it is, buying dies, moulds, and brass will add some, but definitely worth the investment. 8)
