Who is that guy?

I was working in the NW part of the state yesterday and ended my field visits with several pages of paperwork to complete. I carry a statewide access "site badge" which gives me free range so to speak within any facility. It was lunch time at the office so I asked for a quiet out of the way spot with a desk where I could spread my info out and get all the entries made. I was directed to a workspace off the main hallway and got right into my task but I think every person in the building must have walked by, looked in,
and said "hi" at least once. Down the hall at the break/lunch area, I could hear the same question over and over "Who is that guy?"
On the one hand, it didn't help my concentration much during the sorting of numbers, figuring, and tabulating. On the other hand, everyone in the facility now knows me.

That’s funny, I thought it was Jay Silverheels. :)
I often get asked are you the “safety guy” as I do inspections. I’m not and people are generally somewhat relieved.

My work was always as a "visitor" to plants across the country and a lot of times hear "who's that guy?"

One I remember. the plant had a prior equipment "sabotage" event and I was asked to assist with the restoration. the plant had VERY HIGH security and for some reason they thought I was with the FBI.
When I visited that plant latter, the security personal would still bring it up. the Senior Officer would joke the younger guards "Don't mess with him, he's FBI"
