Whiskey!

I am certain some of you imbibe in spirits. Let us hear about them. Mostly, I am partial to Irish, The Proper Twelve being my favorite. The aging in Bourbon casks for some years mellows and enhances. I enjoy all of them, Rye being another favorite. Pikesville Rye is number one here. Pendleton from Oregon is another. So, what wets your whistle on occasion?

Make mine a Cowboy Boilermaker! Coors Banquet and a shot of Kessler right out of the bottle! That being said, a 30 pack of beer lasts for about 6 months and a 1.75 of Kessler for a couple of years. A lot of times I open a beer with a sandwich and only drink about half. I would love to find Coors Banquet in a 7oz can...

Strictly a single malt guy, unless someone else is buying, then beggars can't be choosers.
But my wife and in-laws know a bottle of single malt is a sure bet for birthday or Christmas.

I too am partial to Irish but my favorite is Black Bush.

Macallen's 18 for me please

When I was a Single Malt drinker, Macallan was a favorite along with Highland Park from Orkney. I settled for the 12 year old whisky.

Depends on location.....for example Buffalo Trace where I live, if you can find it anymore is appx $120 for a 750 bottle.....prior to the covid BS it was $36 a bottle. I visited KY often when my folks there, and would tour the bourbon to their place, and then again going back. I load up on bottles like Buffalo Trace for $29 ea (I think that's what it was a couple months ago).I can get 2 bottles of Eagle Rare there for half the price of it around here. Same for the Wild Turkey Rare Breeds, Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Proof, etc....can't find that stuff here and when you do it's 3 times the price.

My Wife gave me the Bourbon of The Month Club last Christmas....a bottle of good stuff from around the country every month.....ranging so far from 117 proof to 132 proof. I'd hate to know what she paid for it...I look up the bottles sometimes and know that's the last time I will ever taste it....

The KY Bourbon Trail is a blast. They give tastings. Some really good stuff that I would never buy. A coworker of mine pays ridiculous prices for his Bourbon.....Pappy was mentioned (made at Buffalo Trace BTW)....he has a collection on his shelf....the bottles on that shelf cost more than my Silverado truck.

All that said, I'm perfectly happy with plain old regular Wild Turkey.

That Heaven Hill is a good pour! I wasn't too impressed with the Sazerac Rye that I picked up at Buffalo Trace.....been wanting to try the 1776!

Both of those bottles of Blanton’s on my office shelf were gifts from an appreciative upper-level manager… my regular drink is Maker’s on the rocks. I keep the Blanton’s for special occasions.
