I was downtown Lake Lure,, this holiday weekend, traffic was heavy,, and I live just off the main road. Yet,, less than 200 yds from my house,, (And as close as 25 yds to another house,) I spotted a couple of deer. I took the pics from my truck, about 15 yds away from me.

Almost looks alien with the reflection from the eyes.

I had to stop my car yesterday for about 5 minutes to allow 2 flocks of Canada Geese cross the road with 2 sets of goslings. It amazes me how protective the adult geese are of their young. They would stand up to my car if I got to close!

Well, I have to admit,, I have seen them before. Just not when I could get my camera,, or when I could shoot one. But,, I can HOPEFULLY get a shot at one,,,! Hopefully I can get more pics in a month or so,,,!
