Which SR9 is better looking?

Which gun style do you like better in the SR9?

I'm buying one very, very soon, but I can't decide between the 2-tone, & the black on black.

For me am a sucker for the Stainless, I just like how it looks better. Also you dont have to worry about bluing wearing off over time. Thats just my 2cents

Black! At least on the "C" but me thinks the regular model also. Never been a two tone type.
Edit: actually on second glance, I don't "hate" the 2-tone in the full size--and would consider if in the market for--but still definitely black in the "C."

Can't say why, but the 2-tone looks better to me. Maybe it's because most of my toys are that way! On second thought, disregard my input as I'm apparently biased... 8)

For me am a sucker for the Stainless, I just like how it looks better. Also you dont have to worry about bluing wearing off over time. Thats just my 2cents

Except the coating on the Blackened SR9s is much more resistant to wear unlike bluing.

I'd say the finish is as good as what you'd see with Stainless. The Stainless slide can scratch, mine has on the flats of the slide. But the Blackened models won't, they might show wear over time, but it's generally on the corners.

Either one is a good option, just a matter of opinion and which one you like best, price isn't too big a problem between them either. I have a Stainless one, but I've had mine before they came out with the Blackened models.

Go handle them in the store, paying attention to the edges of the slide serrations. Some folks find them a little sharp. I did. I eased the edges of the serrations with a stone. On the black model, that leaves a silver line where the edge is eased. No big deal for me, but it is for some.

I picked the black because I think it looks better. IMO, 2-tone guns are just ugly. The only stainless I own is revolvers or rifles. However, this is a subjective issue that only each individual can decide for them self.

for me it wasn't a decision of which looked better. i picked the black because it hides better, if your shirt were to flash up the black would be less visible than shiny steel. it just wouldnt stand out as much

I like the black on black. (I have Black on green). I probably would have picked all black if I were given the choice, but my dealer only had the green at the time. I like it.

I prefer my stainless - all black looks kind of like a glock wannabe to me. but I agree that the stainless will "flash" more if my shirt comes untucked.

Good points, making it hard on me to make a decision, hehe. But I agree, the sr9c would be best black for carrying. this gun is home defense mainly. thx for input.

hmm, interesting take. I see what you mean. I will try my best not to wear any gun. But ya, accidents do happen. Question is, if you had to buy one again, would you get stainless or blackened?

Informative Jeff, thx. I have held them, but it is still a hard choice. I am still upset over guns before I bought in the past, but I am in love with this high value gun. Fits my hand well.

i like the two-tone. It does differ from every black gun I see. That's why I like it. But the black stainless is so nice, hard not to get one. Reminds me of my b92. in weird way

Ya, i've seen that black ice, but i can't find a Cali one. This is not going to be an easy decision. I'm sure you have had a tough style choice before. Some people will shake their head at deciding between the guns looks, but i'm shallow. thanks for input.
