I was a lockheed guard from 1965 to 2,000. Seems to me they issued them to us about 1974. Is that about right? A close friend called me up today that bought I think 3 of my old departments guns and asked. They were stainless 4"s fixed sights. He said they are #161-xxxx. He said he got three consegative numberd ones. I may try to pry one off him for old time sake.
What always chapped my hide is the company would never give us guys that carried them a crack at them everytime they went to something new, but would sell them to a gun shop. I moved out of state, but my buddy has a in with the shop. Most of em were next to never fired but carried 24-7.
