Yeah the 4 5/8" barrel was a dead giveaway. No steel guns were made with short barrels when lightweights were first produced.
Nice shooter for a good price. You can enjoy shooting it without ruining collectible value.
I saved the steel ejector housing off of mine and use an aluminum housing to make it a little lighter.

It’s worth at least what you got in it included junk fees. Depending on the market, you might get as much as $600.

LWSC,
I got one on GB in similar condition a while back for $400, BUT just listed as a single six, so most folks missed it.

It pays to look closely at the Single Six ads. I've gotten a baby Vaquero, and a Bisley, because the ad only called them Single Six and priced them like standard models.

I was looking online and found this 1959 lightweight for $550. it was just listed as a single six and i was on the hunt for a 4⅝" single six so i jumped on it as fast as I could. At the time i didn't even know ruger made a lightweight tell i started searching the serial number to find the date of manufacturing on it.

I got a “Single Six” with 4 5/8 barrel in person from a local store a few years back. That’s how they had it marked. Except it was a flattop Blackhawk with 155xx serial number. I didn’t even try to dicker on their sub-$400 asking price.

I have one of those as well.
I had to find a right side grip panel for it,and have old model parts re installed.
It came with the old yellow return box with the old model parts inside.
