Ran out of peanut butter cookies and was looking for some dessert. Found some Oregon canned blueberries and a can of fruit salad; there was also some Bisquick in the cupboard. I like cobblers. Here's the what's left of the result. My own invention using basic cobbler ingredients.

Hugh,
Your spoon is hitting a little low. You may want to adjust your grip on it to assist your scooping at POA :)

I was trying to scoop it so that it would last five days, but alas, it won't. Maybe four days, but tomorrow may see the last of it. The only thing that could possibly make it better is French Vanilla ice cream, or maybe Vanilla Bean Vanilla ice cream. I do like blueberry cobbler or pie, and peach cobbler or pie. I prefer cobbler though. :D

Supper today was pan fried Rainbow Trout, left over spagetti with tomato sauce, a fresh tomato, and, you guessed it, blueberry cobbler. And now a glass of Mr. Jack Daniel's Old Number 7. Cat is asleep on the sofa, me in my big chair, and a movie in the DVD player. Kinda hard to beat that.

I was on leave last week (and came down with the flu!) However, had time to stew up some meat for tamales. Made red beef, red pork and green pork. Used banana leaves instead of corn husks on the green pork--NEVER AGAIN!

Anyway, last night I decided to try my hand at dessert tamales. Basically, sweetened cornmeal cooked in a husk. Turned out OK, especially with a dollop of whipped cream. A little too sweet but they were edible=which is a success for a first try.
