What very popular TV streaming series features this house and what is the name of the house?

My 4 oldest granddaughters, my son and DIL, and myself really like this popular series. In Oct./Nov. 2020 I took 3 of my granddaughters on a tour of all the most famous filming locations in the greater Atlanta area. We had a great time!

My son and DIL were here for the 4th. I asked them if they had any interest in visiting this house from the series. We took the slow scenic route there and back like I would if I was on my motorcycle. This location isn't far from me.

Can anyone tell me the series featuring this house and what it's called?

Who will be the first to say they don't "do" TV? LOL

Oh wait! It’s the mansion that housed the evil guy in the Stranger Things series. It’s gotta be. Not sure what his name was, but they showed the house when he was little and moved in with his family.

Then later after he was sent to the other side by Eleven and became evil, it was his lair.

My wife watched some of that show and liked the house. Was always saying " our house doesn't look like that". I was usually "I'm glad, I'd hate to paint the SOB"

Dave P, I told my son I'd hate to have to paint that house, and it's been painted brown (yuk) since the filming. I asked him how much he thought it would cost to paint that house with all the columns, notches and gables all over the front, sides, and rear. He guessed $7-$8k. I guessed it was way more than that. Neither of us really know and were just guessing. Think of all the scraping that would have to be done to a 7,122 sq. ft. house built in 1882. My guess, and I think I'm way too high, $50k+.

I wonder who was closer, though.

I like it because I graduated from high school in 1988 from a small town in the Midwest. So I’m the same age as them…back then anyway. Played D&D as well.

But it’s a great series. Can’t wait for the final season.

Cholo: I bet it would cost close to 50k too to paint that house… perhaps not that much, but far more than $7 or $8 thousand.

Also depends on if they have lead paint, which I bet the original paint job did… or asbestos siding…

We went through all that at our house a couple years ago. It was $22,000 for everything.

The casting really is good! They're from the US and UK. Billy is from Australia. Not once did the actors give a hint of their native accent.

Expect close to 2 years for Season 5. It was 3 years between seasons 3-4 in part due to Covid.

The "Adams Family" house was on a movie studio in Calif; Too many years ago and the name of the studio has slipped; Was there as Tech Advisor for several Sears Paint commercials. ( I was Paint Chemist for the company that made Sears Paints.)
