Picked up an OM Blackhawk a few months ago with this hole drilled/tapped into the top of the frame. Anyone know what scope base fits this. It's already there, so I thought I may as well try it with a scope if I can find a base for a reasonable price. Thanks for your help!!

I assume various mounts could fit...Many use the existing rear sight hole, and one drilled and tapped hole like you show...

Find a mount, and measure the holes center to center...

Bushnell Phantom for the Rugers, uses the rear sight elevation screw hole as well as that one out in the middle of 'nowhere'.....tapered studs fit in these holes, the mount slides down, over the studs and locks in with small screws from both side to keep from coming off.......

I believe you could use this one with the barrel clamp and drill a hole in the mount for the topstrap screw for added secutity. 8)

Leupold mount for a Ruger flatop uses the adjustment screw hold and a forward hole tap. It may be the one that was used before.

I have a Weigand base on a Bisley that uses the rear sight hole and 2 D&T'd in the top strap. A person may have felt that one hole was sufficient. If you can mic the distance I can check.
