I've owned/used several match-grade guns over the years and have seen others of every description being used in various competitions. I can tell you for sure that getting ANY gun to CONSISTENTLY deliver sub-MOA accuracy at distance is quite a lofty goal, and especially if we're talking a semi-auto.
At any rate, the "three B's" of accuracy are barrel, bedding and bullets.....and that aint going to change no matter which platform is being discussed.
What that tells us is that at a minimum, you're going to need a high-end match grade barrel, and that whatever ammo you shoot though it will have to be capable of sub-MOA accuracy itself.
Perty-expensive stuff so far, eh?....$$$ cha-ching, cha-ching $$$....and that's just in order to establish a base line. After that, you get to start tweaking other stuff, some of which is going to require additional new parts and/or the services of a gunsmith whom is well versed in how to get the most from an "AR10-type" platform.
