It is a tool that makes removal and replacement of the trigger rebound spring and guide easier in a Smith & Wesson revolver. Note I didn't say "easy".

This is the set I have.

With its add on set. It snaps into that rectangular opening in the case. You still have more pieces for less money than mine

Nice thing is if you loose or modify one , single replacement bits are available on Wheelers web site
