.... the value may be on a wood and blued 22 Magnum? Local guy wants to show me his for sale. Mint condition, no box, etc.

I see bunches of them for sale on GunBroker but the majority are brand new, $700.00-plus and no bids.
 
I just paid $600 for a used one in excellent shape with a 4x weaver scope on it. Seems like you just don't see too many of them around. the blued/walnut magnums with sights are pretty hard to come by.

I think the stainless/skeleton stocked ones are bringing the highest dollar right now.

Thanks guys. I really should go buy this gun. Looks mint to me and pretty attractive at $460.00.
 
Reading the earlier posts, I would have said $500, but at $460 you should buy it.
 
I just bought one last week off of Spokane gun trader and gave 580.00 shipped to my FFL. I think I got a pretty good deal at that price.
