Looks like production began in 2005. What changes were made to the Alaskan over it's history?

Is the barrel a "sleeve" screwed into the frame?

Did any of the Alaskans suffer from the "thread choke" in the bore at the frame?

Thanks.

I just sold mine, and it was a 2014 model chambered in 480. It had a MIM trigger which, surprisingly, was exceptional right out of the box. The warning label was printed under the ejector rod shroud, as opposed to the side of the frame extension. I recall reading that the chamber dimensions were re-sized on the new models, to aid in case extraction.

I couldn't tell you much else. I believe the barrels have always been installed the same way, employing a special tool to thead them into frame.
