would the 200th liberty single six have?Picked up a very nice one today and don't know which box it should have.I have a plain brown box that it came with, but also have the yellow and black box.The plain brown isn't a shipper it has the plastic dowel that fits through the finger guard. Thanks,Dave

yessir, as noted above the hinged box (one piece fold up) and depending on the barrel length of your gun, determines which ONE of the two boxes they used for MOST all of the new models back then, only the end label changed, they pasted the end label over the pre printed end of the box,o the shorter one was a standard auto 4 3/4 inch and the other, longer version, was the new model Balckhawk 367 6 1/2 inch, those two formed the "base"....very generic.........we've even seen some 'old model' late shipped ones, sent out in these 'new model' boxes ,along with the brown shipper, and of course, had old model end labels and markings...........
the 'trick' ( or hard part) for your gun, is to find the properly dated 1976 manual to go with the box..............

The lid is marked with a white Ruger logo.

Thanks guys.Don't know if I'll bother looking for one as this is a shooter and not a safe queen.6 1/2 inch model.Goes good with my 9"one and they're both in good shape.I'm just a shooter and not a collector.I'll post a couple of pictures later.Dave
