Weaver mount on Deerfield

Is the mounting system on the current Ranch rifles the same as on the Deerfield? I had a mini 30 years ago and it was interchangeable with the Deerfield. I want to mount an inexpensive red dot on the deerfield. Sportsman's guide has one for the ranch rifles and I wonder if it will fit the Deerfield?

The Deerfield rifle has Ruger notches on the top of the receiver ahead of the peep sight. I don't know if this is the same as a Ranch Rifle or not. I used 1" Ruger rings to mount a RedDot on my Deerfield. See bottom rifle in the picture:

I have a newer Deerfield and Mini Ranch Rifle - they use the same rings. I have a little 4X Timberline on the Deerfield.

I had a stainless mini 30 years ago but traded it off. It functioned with everything I fed it but accuracy left some to be desired. I've never handled a ranch rifle, what is the difference between a regular mini and the ranch rifle? Good to hear that a mount that that fits a ranch will also fit the Deerfield. I really like my Deerfield and as where I hunt all shots are within 50 yards thought I might try it with a red dot. I have a red dot on my Marlin 44 but would think it would make more sense on an auto.

I have a 3-9x40 on my Deerfield. Its the most accurate 44 magnum rifle I have ever fired. It will put 3 shots into less than an inch at 100 yards. I couldn't do that with my marlin nor the winchester.
