We were told there would be cats

Airedale Terrorist

I had a bunch of years where we had a pack of Airedales on our place. Highly entertaining dogs. Very smart, loved to tease you with a tool you just laid down, they would pick it up and carry it a few feet out of your reach or just run playfully with it in their mouth wanting you to chase them.

Small furry critters foolish enough to come into our fenced yard area or the garden would be immediately utilized for a fast paced game of "shred the fuzzy thing"

Awesome picture Don. Man, having three of them at one time must have been a hoot.

My college roommate brought his Airedale up from home for a semester. Talk about a strong dog. Those back and neck muscles go straight up the back of their head and make them seriously powerful. When it was playtime my roommate would put on a winter parka with a hood to fully enclose his head and face for protection. The dog went nuts when he did this because it knew it was all-star wrestling time. They would go at it for as long as Mark could stand it. Happy dog.
