I'd hazard an opinion that it's a fair price, seeing it needs it's original parts and condition isn't too bad, and no box or papers. I don't think it would be valued at much over the going price. jm2c
Did you buy it?
I think it was an okay deal since I stoped $5 short of the winning bids when I had to head to work. I bid on it simply because I have a set of parts to convert it back and a spare OM SBH hammer and brass dragoon grip frame I wa going to place on it to make it a kind of neat old shooter. Oh well, the parts can live in the parts box a little bit longer!
Well now.
IMOH I think it might have been a weeeeeeeee bit to much for a converted 45.
Also I think it was re-blued when it went back for the transfer bar.
Why I think that. Look at the notches in the cylinder no blue missing and not a hint of a ring. Now look at the grip frame a lot of anodizing missing. Also the alum sight and ejector housing have more ware.So it was shot a lot by a right handed shooter yet the gun frame is in good shape with little ware. Probably will never know.
So lets add up the total price.
Gun $530
Ship $25
Parts $150
FFL $25
Total $ 730
For what it's worth. In the last 4 months I have sold two in better shape 1 for $600 with fact.re-blue and 1 for $750 both included shipping.
I was going to bid when it was at a lower price but saw this "rbrbrb6 Guy" wanted it so decided not to.
