I went to see this film yesterday, the first time in a very long time that I went to an actual movie theater. I'm a Vietnam veteran, and while I was not a combat soldier I was involved in some actions during my tour. This film's depiction of combat is possibly the most realistic display of what goes on when the bullets are flying as any movie I have ever seen, on a par with the opening scene in "Saving Private Ryan". There is no backstory about who the men are, no Hollywood hints at who is the likely one to get shot, etc., just a group of men under fire. I think anyone who has served in a combat zone will appreciate this film, and for those who have not served, it will give them an idea of what war is like, and its not exciting or fun but scary and can be overwhelming. Well worth the cost of admission and I'm not sure it will have the same impact if seen on a home TV screen.
