I heard a story recently that a company is developing Artificial Intelligence that coordinates with cameras and the cash register scanner so that the AI can tell if the items are scanned as they pass the register. Also it’s suppose to be able to tell when thieves try to hide items. At some point they’ll even know when you’re crop dusting down an aisle.

theft is on the rise as more and more people do what an old book calls.....'doing what is right in their own eyes.'

cant anyone see whats happening?

I believe a shoplifter doesn't stop with shoplifting. They are of such low morales it`s a good bet they are in heavier stuff. I was working one week end night at site that just a company fireman and I was on duty. There also was a two or three man janitor crew waxing floors and that was it in a huge factory.
The fireman got ahold of me on his rounds, he had found a soda machine broken into. I had been through that area just prior and it was okay. Since the only people in the area were janitors I started checking Janitor maintenance closets in that building. (I had keys to everything). I scored immediately. I found cold cokes in a garbage bag along with the machines money box and a iron crow bar they had used all in a locked closet.
They were fired, or at least one of them, dont know about the other two. It wasn't but a month or two later I seen in the paper he was murdered on some drug deal.

My son worked as a Night shelf stocker in a supermarket; One night the Store manager and a group of police came in and arrested everybody but my son; Seems all the rest had been STEALING groceries every night and loading them into their cars; HE was the ONLY HONEST Person; Thank GOD I had taught him right !!
