At the range today somebody left a box of 50 .45 Colt brass in a John Wayne commemorative box. The brass is nickel-plated with "Duke" on the headstamp. Any collector interest in this or is it more once-fired brass for me to reload?

Well,
Since I do CAS with a 45 Colt at times it would be neet to reload that brass.
I don't have a clue what the brass is worth. You can go online and see what the loaded stuff goes for.
If you want to get rid of it I would be interested in a deal of some kind.
I got lots of 45 Colt brass.
Thanks,
Jim

I'd be loading it myself. It would probably look cool loaded with winchester silvertips! I doubt it would have any special value having been fired.

If you decide to part with them pm me. I'm not really a collector but it's knida a novelty. I like Duke and I like 45colt. ps

Sounds like you already have takers but I would love to find some too and reload it and polish up the nickle for show and tell.

As an aside, I really would like to get my hands on one of the John Wayne Vaqueros with the extensive JW engraving for my father. His initials are JW

Funds have just been too tight since we had a new baby a year anad a half ago to buy anything.
