Heard good things about Vortex.
I don't have a Vortex scope but I wear a Vortex cap I bought at the LGS.
Good cap but summer design with the peforated back half.
Not working out too well today at -3 with wind chill -28.

With the exception of one Weaver, all my rifles wear Nikon or Vortex glass. The warranties on both are awesome, but I have yet to need their services.

2 years ago I wanted some new binoculars and bought a Vortex 10x42 Diamondback HD. I'm amazed at their quality and clarity! Vortex seems to be good stuff!

Yes it was. Forgot to include that in my post. I wasn't able to recover enough(any) of the cantilever mount to return but I'm not complaining about that.
