Virginia Shooters

It looks similar to the one, in The White Oak Mountain
Game Preserve, in Pittsylvania Co.
I can't say for sure, as I haven't been there in several years.

This place is out of the way for sure. I was traveling home from my fish camp at Smith Mountain Lake & decided to drive up through a section of Monroe County, WV were Barbara & I are considering a move. Going west through Vinton on Rt.24 I took I-581 to I-81S & exited at 141 which is Rt.311 which I took north. This road passes through some of the most beautiful country Virginia has to offer.

I drove through Hanging Rock, Bennett Springs, Catawba, Abbott, New Castle, & up the mountain to Potts Slope Road. The sign here read Potts Slope Shooting Range.

Yep, Potts Mountain. You should stop at the Swinging Bridge restaurant in Paint Bank. They have great food, including buffalo. (Limited hours during winter.)
There is a big buffalo farm nearby.

Been there. I drive 635, Big Stony Creek Road through Waiteville connecting with 311 a time or two each year. Have a few buffalo pictures somewhere. Ate at Paint Bank also. Beautiful country.

As I drove across there I wondered how many I rub elbows with on line had seen that county. Again, beautiful.
