Vintage hunting pictures

Hittman, Thanks for that post. I've seen pictures on the wall of our hunting lodge in Central Oregon of the huge Muley bucks and Nice bears that previous generations had taken "back in the day" and it always inspires big dreams. It sure helps to get the mood set for opening morning. Great Pics.

very cool slide show, thank you for sharing!

no game pictured but my grandpa (seated) and great uncle Jack (standing) posed with a pair of Remington model 10 shotguns in a 1929 model AA, presumably fowel hunting of some kind.

coincidentally, same year and model truck featured in the Waltons tv series.

The pics are great. Truly a reflection of times long past.

I liked the picture of the guy's camp,, with the hollow log as his shelter,, the moose pulling the wagon.
Many may not realize it,, but one of the pictures was Fred Bear,, with a moose.

But the one that gave me the willies was the picture of the "hunters" killing deer, in the snow,, in a sorta semi-circle,, shooting on that was trying to get up. The cameraman was NOT in a good spot.
