Youtube is a wonderful source for learning how to navigate and perform various common tasks associated with image hosting sites. Simply query the name of the hosting site for tutorials. Querying IMGUR tutorials for example will bring up several tutorials that will show you step by step how to upload, post to a forum, etc.. These are often more helpful than plowing thru the instructions on the hosting site. Here's one such:

Be aware that many of these tutorials are older ones that don't incorporate changes that may have occurred since the tutorial was made available on Youtube. Look for the most recent ones.

OK I have downloaded a photo. Now I select the "share options" and I find four. 1, SHARE LINK, 2. EMBED in HTML, 3. BBCODE (FORUMS), and 4. MARKDOWN (Reddit).
I tried "Copy" on each one to bring it up as my AVATAR and all four give me a "invalid' indicator. What is the next option; as I see nothing else there.

The problem with Avatar's on this forum is that the software on rugerforum treats avatar images differently than images you embed in a post. For Avatar images (besides having to be within the pixel and kb limits), is that the code you paste into the Avatar location line cannot have any img tags before or after the file location code. It should look like this except for the different file name (bold in this example). This is called the Direct Link in Imgur and is the code you want to copy. You can also just erase the img tags after you paste in the bbcode in the Avatar line if you'd rather. Or the easiest way for you would be to simply right click on your avatar image (assuming it's within the above mentioned limits) and select Copy Image Location from the menu, and paste that into your avatar line. Either of these methods will work.

EUREKA I HAVE FOUND IT! Thanks for the tutorial. Now all I have to do is figure out how to make an album.

Easy. Mouse over your sign in name, click on albums. It will show you a "new album" button. Click on it, name it. Done. Fill it with images, you can upload several at a time from your pc. Click ADD Images. When you click the Browse Button it will look at the folder on your PC where you tell it to. Use CTRl Click on each of the Images in that folder you want to upload, and click Save. It's very fast. Much faster than PB ever was. Have fun. :)

I found it easy to post, from Imgur, to the Forum. Right click the photo then copy the second from the bottom option. It says something about 'forums. Now to transfer all my 180+ from the old Photobucket to the Imgur site.
