What is value of mid 50s Ruger Standard .22 with 4inch bbl? Average condition

Without pictures and serial number, who knows? I picked up a Standard Auto at an auction last fall in what sounds like similar condition for $260.

.... fairly common variety ,and in that shape, would be hard pressed to get in the $200 range around here anyway....GOOD candidate for a "restoration".......needs a very hearty cleaning anyway, a bit of 'rust oil" and some brass or bronze wool. 8)

Well,you do indeed have an A54 grip frame early model. It looks pretty rough from this position, with the rust and and flattened checkering on the grips. Whatever you do get for it, I'm sure will be more than your original purchase price. Restoration project? Good idea.
