Value of a 4 digit ser# Super Blackhawk

I have a Super Blackhawk the serial# is 4 digits, and according to a chart I found online was manufactured in 1961. It has a brass and steel frame, 7-1/2" barrel, jeweled hammer, overall in extremely excellent condition, I do not have the factory box. I would attach pictures, but I haven't figured that out yet, I'm new so bear with me. I bought it in 1988, and it has been a safe queen since then. Does anyone have any input on it's value or how to attach photos? Thanks Bill

welcome to the forum... a few "key" points is that the brass frame is too early for a "factory" released gun, and the "jeweled hammer" tells us it has been " customized" to some extent....that being said, as long as the finish is "original" , then its a sum of the total of the parts.....I sold a 4 digit not that long ago for just over $600, but it was "mint' shape, no box.............so your gun depending on just what all was done to it, to us would be in the $450-500 range, PLUS add the value if it is a factory brass frame or an aftermarket one, again, big difference..............some pictures of the gun itself as well as the frame (grips on and off) then a better ,more exacting "evaluation" can be made.........any question as to the pictures can be found in the 'FAQ" section above, or send them via e-mail to one of us and we can see them for you.....good luck
