I was wondering how the old USS TEXAS was doing with all the water. I realize there are more and pressing things to worry about, but the thought just crossed my mind.

It should not be a problem due to rain. It is floating in seawater/ship channel which is controlled by the tide. That old Girl has been through quite a few hurricanes. :D

Just wondering how high up the pilings she was lifted, above the normal range you can see.

There was a small increase at high tide. But we didn't get the 4-5'storm surge like Rockport and Port Aransas received.

The earthcam view shows her at waterline.
The moorings will allow any storm surge and are built for direct hits from full-gale winds, and were updated/rebuilt in 2012. She has seen much worse than a Gulf hurricane.
